Aerated concrete sufficiently differs from other building materials. Walls made of aerated concrete have many advantages compared to the same wall made of wood, brick or concrete blocks. And it directly affects the quality of the product.

Aerated concrete is non-toxic and eco-friendly material. Insulating properties of aerated concrete is 6 - 10 times higher than that of general concrete. Moreover, the aerated concrete has excellent sound- insulating properties. Another environmental indicator is the possibility of recycling of broken, defective blocks.

Waste products of the production, such as flue ash generated in large quantities from coal combustion in thermal power plants can be used in the production of aerated concrete, turning of waste requiring disposal into a useful building material. Thus, aerated concrete has the lowest energy consumption compared to the energy consumption of other building materials (energy consumption per 1 m3 of product).

Warm in winter, cool in summer

One of the main advantages of aerated concrete is a high energy-saving capability. Due to the porous structure of the aerated concrete for its thermal insulation properties exceeds conventional concrete in 10 times and ceramic bricks in 6 times. Therefore, the building of the aerated concrete provides heat in winter and cool in summer.

Excellent insulating properties of aerated concrete not only reduce the need for heating or air conditioning of facilities, but also reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere and prevent climate change, but also make it unnecessary to use additional insulating materials. Production of aerated concrete consumes less energy than production of any other building material and lightweight of aerated concrete saves energy during its transportation.

Not burn in fire or drown in water

Aerated concrete provides a very high level of fire safety and meets the highest requirements concerning fire protection measures. Due to its mineral composition aerated concrete is classified as non-combustible building material. It does not burn at temperature up to 1200 ° C, and compared to other building materials is heat resistant.

For this reason aerated concrete is used for the erection of fire division walls preventing the spread of fire, thereby preserving the lives and properties of the people. In principle, the fire division wall must withstand fire for 4 hours. But tests have shown that aerated concrete wall with 150 mm thickness can withstand fire for at least 6 hours. In a real situation, aerated concrete walls have remained undamaged for 120 hours.

Besides internal fire walls, exterior walls of the aerated concrete significantly increase the fire safety of buildings, as in most cases the ignition source is located outside. Besides the fire and heat resistance, aerated concrete does not produce smoke and toxic gases which are more harmful to human life than fire.

Aerated concrete blocks penetrated by thousands of small pores which replace ice and water during freezing. This ensures the safety of aerated concrete in freezing during the 100 or more cycles. For comparison, the rate of frost resistance of brick suitable for use in the central region - construction - 15-25 cycles, facial - 50 cycles. Porous concrete can withstand up to 35 cycles of freezing.

Aerated concrete is very strong and durable despite its light weight. The strength of aerated concrete due to the presence of calcium silicate consisting of millions of air cells, as well as the process of autoclaving with steam at high pressure. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, aerated concrete is preferred for construction of seismically active zones.

The low weight of aerated concrete wall provides low load on the foundations of the building, so the foundation can withstand several floors.

Aerated concrete maintains its properties throughout the life of the building. It successfully resists wind, rain and storm, is not subject to destruction or putrefaction. Fall of outdoor temperature does not have destructive effect on aerated concrete.
